🗓️ Itinerary
Day 1 – Riohacha to Punta Gallinas
Departure: 7:00 AM from Riohacha
Travel directly to Punta Gallinas, crossing cactus forests, the Carrizal Desert, and Wayuu rancherías, where goats and sheep roam freely.
Arrive at Taroa Beach for lunch, then continue to the impressive Taroa Dunes, where you can swim and enjoy the unique contrast of desert, sea, and sky.
In the late afternoon, visit the Punta Gallinas Lighthouse to watch the sunset from the northernmost tip of the Guajira Peninsula.
Dinner and overnight stay in Punta Gallinas, sleeping in comfortable chinchorros (hammocks).
Day 2 – Punta Gallinas to Cabo de la Vela
After breakfast, depart toward Cabo de la Vela.
Enjoy lunch by the beach, then visit Pilón de Azúcar and Dorada Beach, where you can swim and relax before returning to Riohacha.
